Terminal 3 Info & Layout
Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a bustling hub primarily serving domestic flights. As of June 2022, it operates as a significant base for Delta Air Lines, alongside Terminal 2. Delta's SkyTeam partner, Aeroméxico, also utilizes this terminal for check-in, with passengers transferring to the Tom Bradley International Terminal for their flights.
Terminal 3 features 15 gates, numbered 30A, 30B, 31A, 31B, 32A, 32B, 33, 34A, 34B, 35, 36, 37A, 37B, and 38. Travelers can enjoy a range of amenities, including a Delta SkyClub located off the walkway between Terminals 2 and 3. A Delta One Lounge is also scheduled to open in 2024, enhancing the premium passenger experience.
Access to Terminal 3 is convenient, with connections to other terminals via pedestrian corridors, allowing passengers to move between terminals without exiting the secure area. Additionally, LAX Shuttle route A buses provide landside connections between all terminals. By December 2025, the LAX Automated People Mover will further enhance connectivity, linking terminals with the LAX Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility, parking areas, and the LAX/Metro Transit Center station.
Terminal 3 stands out for its recent transformation as part of Delta Air Lines' $1.9 billion "Delta Sky Way at LAX" modernization project. This extensive renovation, completed between November 2020 and April 2022, included partial demolition and reconstruction, significantly enhancing the terminal's facilities and passenger experience. This ambitious project was accelerated due to the decline in air travel during the global COVID-19 pandemic, making Terminal 3 a modern and efficient space for travelers at LAX.
