Terminal 6 Info & Layout
Terminal 6 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is primarily used for domestic flights and serves as a hub for Alaska Airlines. It is also utilized by Air Canada, Porter Airlines, and regional carriers Advanced Air and Southern Airways Express. The terminal features 16 gates, numbered 60 through 69B, offering a variety of amenities and services to enhance the passenger experience.
Travelers at Terminal 6 can enjoy two lounges: the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and the Alaska Airlines Lounge, providing comfortable spaces for relaxation and refreshments. The terminal has undergone several renovations to improve its facilities, including updates to gate areas, departure lounges, and security checkpoints.
Access to Terminal 6 is convenient with multiple options available. Passengers can use the LAX Shuttle route A buses for landside connections between all terminals. Additionally, pedestrian corridors allow for seamless airside movement between terminals without exiting and reentering security. Terminal 6 is directly connected to Terminals 4 and 5 via a tunnel, and to Terminals 7 and 8 through a ground-level walkway.
A unique feature of Terminal 6 is its historical significance as part of the original construction phase of LAX's passenger terminals, opening in 1963.
