Getting Around FCO Airport
FCO Airport consists of two main passenger terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terminal 1 is primarily used by ITA Airways and hosts Gates A1 through A83. Terminal 3 is the larger of the two and serves as a hub for both Schengen and non-Schengen flights, featuring Gates E1 through E52. This terminal also includes a satellite building that caters to non-Schengen departures.
Getting around the airport is facilitated by clear signage and multiple information desks. For inter-terminal movement, passengers can walk through connected pathways. Terminal 3, in particular, is linked internally from the main building to its satellite via the SkyBridge, an automated people mover. This service is crucial for those needing to access Gates E31 to E44. Keep in mind, the SkyBridge operates in a unidirectional manner; it only transports departing passengers from Terminal 3 to the gates, and arriving passengers from the gates to Terminal 3, without the possibility of a return trip on the same route.
