FCO Terminal 3 Map & Guide

This page provides detailed information about Terminal 3 at Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Here, you can learn about the terminal's layout, amenities, and how to navigate using our interactive terminal maps.

Terminal 3 Info & Layout

Terminal 3 at Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport is the largest terminal at the airport, primarily handling international flights, including non-Schengen departures. This terminal is a major hub for several international airlines and offers a comprehensive range of services and amenities for travelers. Terminal 3 incorporates Gates E1–E52 and the former Terminal 5, along with a satellite building dedicated to non-Schengen flights.

Travelers using Terminal 3 can enjoy a variety of amenities, including dining options, shopping outlets, and comfortable waiting areas. The terminal also features unique displays of Roman art, such as the "Genius of Spring" from the Isola Sacra Necropolis, providing a cultural touch to the travel experience.

Access to Terminal 3 is facilitated by the SkyBridge, an automated people mover (APM) known as Innovia APM 100. This shuttle train connects the main terminal building to the gate area E31–44. It operates with two stations: one located on the third floor of Terminal 3 and the other on the second floor of the gate area. The SkyBridge is the sole transportation link between these sections, with westbound service for departing passengers and eastbound service for arriving passengers.

Terminal 3 is connected to other parts of the airport, allowing for smooth transitions between terminals. However, it's important to note that arriving passengers must pass through a transfer security checkpoint to re-enter the departure area, and vice versa for departing passengers. This ensures a secure and efficient flow of travelers throughout the terminal.

With its extensive facilities and efficient transport links, Terminal 3 stands out as a noteworthy terminal for international travelers passing through Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
